Geax is two times World Champion!!
6 September, 2010

This morning we received a great news from the UCI MTB World Championships 2010 in Quebec (Canada): Maja Wloszczowska won gold for Poland!
Geax was present at this great International event with its booth and supported Maja in this new victory. She rode in a brave solo ride and she won on Geax Gato, great for wet conditions! A very important and successful result that make all of us proud to be part of it!
“It feels amazing. I still can’t believe it. It was my dream to win the world championships,” said Wloszczowska, wearing her new rainbow-striped jersey. Wloszczowska, who’d twice previously won a silver medal at Worlds, had made an important decision; she skipped last week’s final World Cup in Windham, New York, to focus on today’s race. It paid off as she had had more time to practice the technical sections of the course in advance of the race and was mentally and physically fresher.

Racing under the lights in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec (Canada) also Romana Labounkova (Czech Republic) was supported by Geax and arrived third in the elite women’s four cross.

Also young riders gave us great results.
Pauline Ferrand Prevot (France) won her second junior World Championship Mountain bike title!
The Frenchwoman topped the podium for the second time this year; earlier this season, she won the junior women’s road race world championship title. Only two worlds: “Word class!”
But we have other successes to claim…Poland’s Paula Gorycka finished third in Under 23 women cross country and other two athletes placed in the top ten classification.
Tanja Zakelj (Slovenia) at the fourth place and Fanny Bourdon (France) at the fifth place.
Another great result to mention is the sixth position of Marek Konwa (Poland) in the Under 23 men cross country.

Many compliments!

Geax was represented on the podium at the European Cross Country Championships in Pra Loup, Fance thanks to the impressive victory of Italian and World Champion Massimo Folcarelli of the Bike Riding Team! Folcarelli took the leaders jersey and dominated the M/2 category while riding Geax Tires. The European final took place on a 6km circuit that proved to be a challenge with technical, rock strewn sections. Riders negotiated the course five times for a total of 30km of racing. Folcarelli showed his confidence early and claimed the win, 3 minutes ahead of second and third place!
